Market Hog:

Ownership: Exhibitors must maintain continuous ownership, possession and provide daily care for each market hog entered in the show from the time of validation until show day.

Age: must be born in 2026

Weight: weight range is 150-300 pounds with 5% weigh back above and below

Classes: Market classes are determined after weigh in of all hogs and will be divided as evenly as possible by the number of entries. Barrows and Gilts will be shown together.

Health: All current health standards must be met.

Identification: All swine must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided) 

Superintendent will be the official classifier of hogs (If hog is not breed eligible, will go to dark or light cross accordingly) 

Market hogs must meet the characteristics of body shape that are typical of declared breed

Awards: Weight class- ribbons Grand and Reserve Champion-prize

Premium Auction: All animals in the market show are guaranteed a spot. Will be placed in the sale order during the market show by the judge. 

Commercial Gilt

Commercial Gilt can not be registered with any breed association 

Age: Must be farrowed in the year 2026

Identification: All swine must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided) 

Classes: Classes are determined after weigh in of all gilts and will be divided as evenly as possible by the number of entries

Registration: must have been completed by the entry date.

Awards: Weight class- ribbons Grand and Reserve Champion-prize

Premium Auction: Grand Champion Commercial Gilt are eligible to sell in premium auction NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.

Breeding Swine

Classes: Separate classes will be established for each breed.

Registration: Registration papers are required for proof of ownership in the exhibitors name and age of the animal entered

Ownership: Exhibitors must maintain continuous ownership, possession and provide daily care for breeding swine entered in the show from Ownership deadline July 10, 2026.

Weight: Boars must be 150 Pounds or less

Identification: All swine must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided)

  2. March Boar ( farrowed during March 2026)
  3. April Boar ( farrowed during April 2026)
  4. May Boar ( farrowed during May 2026)
  5. Grand Champion
  6. Reserve Champion

Classes: Female

  1. January Gilt ( farrowed during January 2026)
  2. February Gilt ( farrowed during February 2026)
  3. March Gilt ( farrowed during March 2026)
  4. April Gilt ( farrowed during April 2026)
  5. May Gilt ( farrowed during May 2026)
  6. Grand Champion
  7. Reserve Champion
