Market Steers:

Ownership: Exhibitors must maintain continuous ownership, possession and provide daily care for each market hog entered in the show from the time of validation until show day.

Weight: Must meet the minimum weight requirement of 500 pounds with a 5% weight back above and below.

Classes: Market classes are determined after weighing in of all steers and will be divided as evenly as possible by the number of entries.

Health: All current health standards must be met. Animals must be steers and must be polled or dehorned.

Identification: All cattle must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided) 

Awards: Class- ribbons Grand and Reserve Champion-prize

Premium Auction: All animals in the market show are guaranteed a spot. Will be placed in the sale order during the market show by the judge. 

Commercial Heifer

Commercial animals can not be registered with any breed association 

Age: Heifers must have all their baby teeth. Heifers may be bred, but cannot have calved by date of show.

Identification: All Cattle must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided) 

Classes: Classes are determined after weigh in of all cattle and will be divided as evenly as possible by the number of entries

Registration: must have been completed by the entry date.

Awards: Class- ribbons Grand and Reserve Champion-prize

Premium Auction: Grand Champion Commercial Heifer is eligible to sell in premium auction NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.

Breeding Beef

Classes: Separate classes will be established for each breed.

Registration: Registration papers are required for proof of ownership in the exhibitors name and age of the animal entered

Ownership: Exhibitors must maintain continuous ownership, possession and provide daily care for breeding cattle entered in the show from Ownership deadline July 10, 2026.

Paperwork: Registration certificates must be in the exhibitors name and in hand when they show up to the fairgrounds for check in on the first day of the fair. No digital photos will be accepted. Ear tattoos must be present.

Identification: All cattle must have an 840 tag ( will not be provided) 

Awards: Class- ribbons Grand and Reserve Champion-prize Open division will be awarded separately.

Premium Auction: Grand Champion Breeding Beef Cattle Female and Grand Champion Breeding Bull are eligible to sell in premium auction NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.
